Designing products people actually want to use.
Tomás Milgron
Senior Product Designer
I started in editorial design in Buenos Aires and ended up shaping digital products in Barcelona. After almost ten years leading design for startups and teaching at design schools, I've learned that great products come from understanding people first and sweating every detail until it feels right. I also write code. Not as my job, but as my edge.
Selected Work

Anansi
First Design Engineer at an Insurtech Startup
Joined as the first design hire at a B2B insurtech startup and built the design function from scratch. Shipped the design system end-to-end, from Figma tokens to React components. Rebuilt the frontend architecture, unified 2 client platforms into one, and replaced Django Admin with custom internal tools. Led UX strategy and user research while introducing design as a factor in product decisions. Reported directly to Product and C-suite.

COLAB sessions
Human-AI Design Workshops
A facilitation framework where teams go from problem to functional prototype in one afternoon. Developed in partnership with Vercel's v0 team and delivered at IED Barcelona.

Tend

Teaching
IED Barcelona
Coordinating the 2D Prototyping & AI Lab. Teaching design students how to think with AI, not just use it, integrating tools like v0 and Claude into real design workflows.
About
I design products from research to shipped code. At Anansi I led product design and built the frontend for an insurtech startup. At IED Barcelona I teach AI-augmented design. At Taller Oliva I research how humans and machines collaborate.
I care about understanding users before opening Figma, building systems that scale, and sweating the details that make a product feel right. Writing frontend code is part of how I work, not a side skill. It's what lets me prototype with real components, contribute directly with engineers, and ship interfaces that match the design intent exactly.
The best products come from people who can see the whole picture. That's what design engineering means to me.
